8.  Tax Filing Choices


Often if we make a small amount of money, we don’t bother filing a tax return.  The best advice is to always file a tax return no matter what your income.  One of the reasons for this is to get back the amount of tax that may have been withheld from your paycheck.  Remember this is your money.  Another reason is that many taxpayers who would not normally need to file a federal income tax return may need to file one to receive any Economic Stimulus Payments, Earned Income Tax Credit rebates or other rebates.
