Summary

This unit described a unique and not often addressed aspect of financial literacy, the psychology of money. As you learned, people act and react differently to the different demands that money poses for them. This course focuses heavily on the understanding of the emotions and the feelings that money generates in the individual. Critical to the development of this section and to your control of your money matters are understanding terms like self worth, buyer’s remorse cycle, stress, rational and irrational beliefs, and the  A-B-C-D’s of your own believes. Throughout Education Cents, every unit will have an informative head section and a revealing heart section. The heart section will be based on the ideas discussed in this first unit. If you properly control your feelings, you can also control your money.
